Alexei was the CEO and Chairman’s senior advisor in the Das Group of Companies, an international division of Omnicom Group PLC. He was also the global CEO for RAPP after joining the group in 2014. He oversaw a profitable turnaround for the company with his rebranding initiative.
Previously, Alexei also served Volkswagen Group China as Chief Marketing Officer and was responsible for strategic branding and marketing of the company across the ASEAN countries.
Alexei also served Wunderman for around 8 years, first as President of Europe, and then as Global COO, and lastly as Executive Vice-Chairman, globally.
Awards and Honors
In 2012 and 2013, Alexei was announced CMO of the Year by the World Brand Congress. Then, he along with his team at Proximity bagged Cannes Gold Lion Award for creating the largest social media platform for automotive – the People’s Car Project. Later that year, he was also invited by Global Brand Forum to be one of the keynote speakers.
Alexei Orlov strongly believes that there is nothing like God-given talent. One has to work really hard to improve and be the best version of oneself. He doesn’t believe that his gift for marketing was something God-given, instead, it was something he worked on a lot since his starting days in the career.
