Summary: A Composer Who Also Performs!
Comment: It isn't often that I am delighted with a CD. Juan Luis Guerra y 440 are amazing together. Perfect
is the only way to describe this CD. These songs are not just fillers to take up space. Every one
of them is well thought out and crafted. Juan Luis Guerra is a composer who performs - not just a
song writer. The melodies and harmonies are wonderful. He and 440 must be obsessed with perfection
because it shows in this CD. And it seems that they are having a great time performing.
/>All the tunes are catchy and even though I only speak a little Spanish, I still get enough to
understand that he has a turn of phrase and a sense of humor.

I recommend this CD to
anyone, and you don't need to know Spanish. It is upbeat and makes you want to dance, dance, dance,
dance!

Comment: Juan Luis is a very, very talented person! Giving his life to Christ has certainly made his music
much better than it ever was, and before it was great, so you can imagine. This CD is a very great
buy! Lyrics, music, it is the complete package!

Comment: Larga fue la espera pero valió la pena. En este album tenemos de regreso al mago que nos hizo
vibrar con Bachata Rosa. Sencillamente una delicia. Todos los elementos están presentes: la
genialidad rítmica y melódica, la ternura, la suave poesía que insinúa más de lo que dice. La
música que fluye con perfección completa, como verdad orgánica que surge de la inspiración
auténtica, donde prevalece el sentimiento real transpirado por un artista que siente lo que canta,
un logro poco frecuente, que recientemente sólo he encontrado precisamente en discos como el
presente, y en el brillante debut de Shery con su album El Amor es un Fantasma. Que me des tu
cariño, por ejemplo (track #4 de "La llave de mi corazón"), es una canción que acaricia los
sentidos no sólo con su letra, sino con la forma brillante en que está construida: las deliciosas
percusiones, finamente integradas con el resto del arreglo, el ritmo de bachata siempre presente,
pero sin estorbar. Una canción 100% dedicable, símbolo de un album BIEN pero realmente bien hecho,
donde Juan Luis Guerra regresa a ocupar el trono que le pertenece por inspirado derecho.
